You meant so much to us all your knowledge kept us all in awe of you, your love of Chelsea meant almost as much your beloved animals.

You can now rest in peace with our mum, you both fought so hard, say hi to Nan, all three of you can now keep an eye on us.

Thinking of you.

You were a true inspiration to me and the reason why I am in this profession. You seemed to take me under your wing when I first started at London, I picked up so many pieces of information from your fountain of animal knowledge, though you made me fight so hard to access it!! I had the pleasure of knowing and working with you for 5 years Frank, I valued your opinion...even if I knew I was right!
You were my head keeper and my friend, you would always find time to talk, which we would use to our advantage to have an extra 10minutes tea break. I have heard the majority of your otter, koala, Australia, jerboa and drinking stories, repeatedly! Now I find myself thinking back to them and smiling.
Im at a new collection now Frank, and they give their black rats enrichment! -I had your voice in my head scolding that fact!! ...
I miss you Wheeler.

Uncle Zoo

I will always remember you as uncle zoo as do Charlie and Billy. It always made me feel special as a little girl when i came to the see you in the zoo. I would come to the window where you were preparing the food for the animals then you would take us behind the cages. I remember when i brought my little monkey Charlie and he was able to feed the monkeys there nuts he spoke about it for days.Sadly you never met my new addition named after you as little Frankie. As with his nanny (marianna hudson also on gts)who is with you in heaven i will tell him all about you and the stories about London zoo.
Love you always,
Tracy X, Donald X, Charlie X, Billy X and Frankie X
